Announcing: Citizen Jane 2015!
If you know me at all, I'll have mentioned something about Citizen Jane Film Festival to you. I talk about it, a lot. It's my baby. By 'my baby', I mean that it's the most painful, heart-wrenching project every year that rushes me with post-creation hormones that brainwash me into swearing that it's my favorite thing in the world and I can't wait to work on it again the following year.
So here I am, here to tell you right now that Citizen Jane if my favorite thing in the world and I can't wait to work on it again the following year. The trauma of birth is over, and now I have a giant pile of freshly printed posters, bookmarks, and the always-so-hectic program buzzing away at the printer right now. There were about four weeks where I was a grumpy, absent, cranky lady in the name of art, feminism, and freelance-dom. Now I'm coasting down the giant mountain of work I completed, heading towards the festival and back into my other client work.
I'm so excited about this year's art- it was all very personal, and there's a lot of story behind the art you see above. Once I put the project in the portfolio I'll share more about what everything means- but until then, I'm just happy to know it's done! :)
